The Last Mile
From the A493 to the door
1
Reach the A493 coast road into Tywyn
Whether you've come via Machynlleth and Aberdyfi from the south, or via Dolgellau and Bryncrug from the north, you'll join the A493, which runs directly along the Tywyn seafront. Follow signs for Tywyn town centre / promenade.
2
Look for the sea on your right (heading south) or left (heading north)
Plas Edwards runs parallel to the promenade, one row back from the beach itself. As the A493 curves along the seafront through town, you're looking for a turning onto Plas Edwards — it's a residential street of beach-facing houses, easy to miss if you're not looking for the name.
3
Turn onto Plas Edwards
Plas Edwards is a quiet residential road directly behind the beach, a short stretch running roughly parallel to the promenade. All the properties are clearly numbered on the front — look for number 94d.
✓
Arrive at Four Degrees West
Once you spot the number, you've found it. There's free private parking directly outside — pull up and you're home. The beach gate is right at the end of the street.
Sat nav tip: postcode LL36 0DA will get you to the right street — Plas Edwards is short enough that you'll see the house numbers as you drive along, even in the dark.
