The Area

Steps away — both properties have a direct gate onto the promenade with Tywyn's Blue Flag beach immediately in front. You can be in the sea in under a minute from the front door.

Yes — Tywyn town centre is a 10–15 minute walk and has a Co-op and several smaller shops. For a larger supermarket, Tesco in Machynlleth is around 20 minutes by car.

Yes — Tywyn has its own mainline railway station on the Cambrian Coast Line, with direct services from Shrewsbury and connections to Birmingham. The Talyllyn heritage railway also runs from Tywyn Wharf. Bus services G21 and G24 serve the area. Aberdyfi is just 6 minutes away by train.

Quite a lot — from watching RAF jets through the Mach Loop to riding the world's first preserved railway, hiking Cadair Idris, watching dolphins from the promenade, or exploring the charming harbour village of Aberdyfi 10 minutes away. See our full area guide for restaurants, pubs and attractions.

Tywyn is a small, uncrowded coastal town on the southern edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, with miles of sandy Blue Flag beach, dramatic mountain scenery and a relaxed, unspoilt atmosphere. It's the kind of place that rewards guests who want to genuinely get away rather than somewhere busy and commercial.
