The Mach Loop — officially Low Flying Area 7 — is one of the most spectacular aviation spectacles in the world. RAF and allied fast jets practise low-level flying through a series of deep mountain valleys near Dolgellau. The Cad West viewpoint is the most accessible spot, where you can watch aircraft pass at eye level just metres away. On a busy day the experience is genuinely breathtaking. About 25 minutes drive from Tywyn.
